I was born and brought up in Glasgow and still live in central Scotland. Our family holidays were always spent in Scotland and from an early age, I grew to love this wonderful country with its spectacular scenery, fascinating history, and wealth of places to visit.

Following a successful career in education, latterly as Headteacher of a secondary school, I now have the opportunity, through tourist guiding, to share my passion for Scotland with visitors.

I am interested in all aspects of life in Scotland, and will plan tours to suit a wide range of interests. Examples of tours include those based on:

• Scotland’s history and historical sites
• a particular theme, e.g. food and drink or golf
• ancestry and sites related to family history
• general interest and scenery
